Hello! Welcome to our website - we are The Upstarts.

We are a young northern wedding & function band for hire for events happening in and around our city of Manchester and the North. We also get booked to play at events right across the UK and sometimes even abroad. What we love most about being in a band is seeing everyone enjoying themselves on packed out dance floors - every weekend.

We may be young but we are highly talened and experienced, musicians. We're graduates of prestigious music collages and have performed at Glastonbury Festival, London Jazz Festival, Download Festival and have been on tours and booked for hotel residences across the UK.

Our repertoire is packed with energetic songs that wil fill the dance floor, you can expect to hear music by The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Daft Punk, The Killers and many, many more in our set!

It’s really easy to make a booking. When you submit an enquiry via our website you’ll be contacted by Alive Network, who are our exclusive booking agents. They’ll confirm our price, availability and help with any queries you might have. Once you’re ready to go ahead, you’ll receive a secure contract, and 24 hour cover in case of emergencies.
