Everything that is good about a wedding band
The Upstarts played at our wedding in North Yorkshire and were everything we had hoped for and more! On the day they had people up and dancing from the sound check, they definitely brought the party with their enthusiasm. So many guests have commented about how great they were and how much they enjoyed them, so they are highly recommended not just by us but by the whole 100+ wedding, especially our relative who was invited for an impromptu cameo performance! -
The perfect band for our perfect day!
The Upstarts were amazing from start to finish. Even before the wedding day they messaged and phoned a few days before the wedding to confirm all the last minute details. There were certain songs I didn’t want playing and they were happy to accommodate this too. We had the acoustic duo play during our wedding breakfast and they were fabulous, playing a range of slow tempo and mellow songs to fit the tone and atmosphere during that part of the day. In the evening, the band were incredible! They played a wide range of songs from Stevie Wonder to Justin Timberlake. They managed to get even our more reluctant guests up on the dance floor and so many people came over to say ‘this band are amazing’. After they finished, we demanded an encore to which the band played Oasis. They made our evening reception even more fun than we imagined. Thank you to all The Upstart boys for making our day so fun and memorable. If you are considering hiring them for your wedding day or special occasion - just do it, you will not regret it! -

Fantastic group and great set of lads. The dance floor was always busy and played a great range of songs. Thank you to the upstarts and I would definitely recommend to anyone and would use again in the future -
What a way to fill the dance floor!
The Upstars were fantastic! The dance floor was filled for the entire evening as people couldn’t tear themselves away. They got everyone involved and kept the tunes coming from every decade to draw people of all ages in. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a band for their wedding - thank you so much! -
We were blown away with how good The Upstarts were at our wedding
The music was brilliant and their interaction with the audience was far above what I was expecting, creating such a fun atmosphere for the whole evening. So many of our guests were complimenting the band all night. Everyone kept asking where I had seen the band live before as no one could believe we'd just booked it online and got such a good band. Would highly recommend The Upstarts for your wedding. -
Our guests raved about them - so pleased we booked The Upstarts!
We are so pleased we booked the upstarts for our wedding! They interacted with our guests and were funny too as well as great singers and artists! A few of our guests are big gig-goers and let us know how good they thought the band were so we took that as a great compliment that we had chosen a 5* band to play at our wedding! They filled the dancefloor with their varied set list and made our last few songs so much fun and memorable with everyone jumping around and singing along! The icing on the cake was they learned an acoustic version of our first dance and sang live for us... wow, just a moment we will never forget and brought tears to our eyes while we danced. What a special moment they helped to create! Would definitely book the Upstarts again and would love to throw a big party in the future so we get the chance to do so! People are still talking about the band!
The Upstarts are so friendly, professional and talented! From the start they had great rapport with all the guests and they kicked the night off with such brilliant songs and our favourites we picked from their repertoire. The dance floor was jam packed whenever they played and everyone rushed to it as soon as they started playing again. We cannot thank them enough for the feel and energy they brought to our wedding, they made it so special to us. -
Incredible band and amazing talent
The Upstarts were amazing. They made the evening of our wedding so much fun. They are seriously talented and such nice people too. Got everyone up on the dance floor and made everyone smile. Our first dance was incredible and so beautifully performed - it made some of our guests cry! Would recommend this band to anyone who needs an energetic talented group of musicians to really make a special event memorable. Thanks so much guys -
Would 100% recommend as a wedding band.
We were originally due to get married in 2020 and the band we had were unavailable when we re-scheduled for 2021. This turned out to be a blessing, as The Upstarts were so much better! We spent a lot of time (hours) looking at bands on Alive Network and were very specific about what we were looking for - a great cover band wtih a fun, versatile repertoire. Very easy to deal with, professional and the feedback from all of our guests was amazing. Would 100% recommend as a wedding band. -
We booked The Upstarts for our wedding
